FAQs
Organic Turmeric Powder
What makes turmeric powder from Aumkaar Natural Farms unique?
Our turmeric powder is crafted from the renowned Salem variety, celebrated for its high curcumin content and vibrant color. This variety is cultivated using natural farming methods, ensuring a product that’s both potent and pure.
How is your turmeric processed to maintain purity?
Post-harvest, turmeric rhizomes are meticulously cleaned, boiled, and sun-dried. They are then ground and sieved to achieve a fine powder, all without the use of artificial additives or preservatives .
Why choose turmeric from the Salem variety?
The Salem variety is distinguished by its rich aroma, deep yellow hue, and elevated curcumin levels, making it a preferred choice for both culinary and medicinal applications .
Is your turmeric powder free from contaminants?
Absolutely. Our turmeric is cultivated without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Each batch undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure it’s free from heavy metals and other contaminants.
How should I store the turmeric powder to retain its freshness?
Store the powder in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Proper storage ensures the turmeric retains its potency and flavor for an extended period.
Organic Tur Dal
What distinguishes Aumkaar Natural Farms' tur dal from others in the market?
Our tur dal is unpolished, meaning it retains its natural outer layer, preserving essential nutrients and fiber. This contrasts with polished dals, which often lose nutritional value during processing .
Why is unpolished dal considered healthier?
Unpolished dal maintains higher levels of protein, fiber, and essential minerals like iron and magnesium. This not only supports overall health but also aids in better digestion and sustained energy release.
How is your tur dal processed to ensure quality?
Our tur dal undergoes minimal processing. After cleaning, the dal is sun-dried and packaged without any polishing or artificial treatments, ensuring you receive a product that’s as close to its natural state as possible.
Does unpolished dal take longer to cook?
While unpolished dal may require slightly more cooking time than its polished counterparts, soaking it for 30 minutes prior to cooking can significantly reduce preparation time.
How should I store the tur dal to maintain its quality?
Store the dal in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. This prevents moisture absorption and protects against pests, ensuring the dal remains fresh for longer.
Vermicompost
What is Vermicompost?
Vermicompost is the nutrient-rich, microbiologically active organic amendment produced by earthworms breaking down organic wastes into castings, which serve as an excellent soil conditioner and fertilizer .
What benefits does Vermicompost provide?
It improves soil physical properties—structure, porosity, water-holding capacity—and enriches soil with humic substances, enzymes, and beneficial microbes, leading to healthier roots and higher yields .
How do I apply Vermicompost?
For potting mixes, blend 10–20% vermicompost by volume; for field crops, broadcast or band-apply 2–5 t/ha before planting; for liquid fertilizer (vermi-wash), steep 2 kg in 20 L water and strain before foliar or soil drench .Our tur dal undergoes minimal processing. After cleaning, the dal is sun-dried and packaged without any polishing or artificial treatments, ensuring you receive a product that’s as close to its natural state as possible.
How should I store Vermicompost and what is its shelf life?
Store in moisture-proof bags or covered bins in a cool, shaded spot; when kept at ≤20% moisture, quality is maintained for up to 12 months without significant nutrient loss .
Jeevamrut
What is Jeevamrut?
Jeevamrut is a fermented microbial tonic made from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, pulse flour, and a handful of native soil, designed to multiply beneficial soil microorganisms.
What benefits does Jeevamrut offer?
It accelerates humus formation, solubilizes soil nutrients (N, P, K), enhances microbial diversity (including Azospirillum, PSM, Trichoderma), and can act as a mild pest repellent.
What is the recommended application schedule?
Dilute 100–200 L of Jeevamrut per acre in irrigation water every month or as a foliar spray every fortnight during active vegetative growth.
How long does Jeevamrut remain effective?
Use within 15 days of fermentation to ensure peak microbial activity; older solutions may lose efficacy.
